Ten young talents honoured with the Günter Schwank Prize 2025

The award from the German Plastics Processing Industry Association (GKV) recognises outstanding achievements by trainees.
The ten best graduates of the plastics technology training programme in 2025 were honoured at the end of June with the prestigious Günter Schwank Prize during the industry dialogue organised by the pro-K Industrieverband langlebige Kunststoffprodukte und Mehrwegsysteme e.V. (pro-K Industrial Association for Durable Plastic Products and Reusable Systems) in Frankfurt am Main. The award ceremony took place in a festive setting in front of around 100 guests at the Haus der Chemie (VCI). The training award, which is presented annually by the GKV Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie (GKV General Association of the Plastics Processing Industry) and named in memory of long-time GKV chairman Günter Schwank, is endowed with a total of 5,000 euros. The prize is sponsored by the GKV and its supporting associations, the trade magazine Kunststoffe, Messe Düsseldorf and the Schwank family. This year, the prize goes to Eduard Eida, Pöppelmann GmbH & Co. KG Kunststoffwerk-Werkzeugbau; Berit Holzgartner, Gerresheimer Regensburg GmbH Medical Systems; Samuel Hesse and Niklas Sander, B. Braun Avitum Saxonia GmbH; Lukas Holl, Bischof+Klein SE & Co. KG; Anton Scherbakov, Covestro Films GmbH; Elias Köstner, Motherson DRSC Deutschland GmbH; Hannes Zick, Weber & Zick GmbH; Mark Dugopoljac, Ensinger GmbH; and Lukas Sadot, Gabo Systemtechnik GmbH.
In her welcoming address, Dr Helen Fürst, President of the GKV, praised the commitment of the young talents: ‘Well-trained young people are the future of our industry,’ she said, emphasising the importance of qualified specialists for the competitiveness of the sector.
