For ten years, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and the Federal Environment Agency, in cooperation with the International Design Center, have been promoting concepts, services and products that combine environmental and climate protection, innovations and outstanding design by awarding the German Federal Ecodesign Prize. Since then, over 2,500 submissions have been evaluated by a panel of experts, 269 entries have been nominated by the interdisciplinary jury, and ultimately 91 projects have been awarded the design prize.
In the anniversary year, as always, companies of all sizes and sectors, students and pioneers in the national and international area can apply for it until April 12, 2021. On December 6, 2021, the winners of the competition are to be announced at a festive awards ceremony at the Federal Ministry for the Environment.
