RIGK takes over recycler Hannawald Plastik GmbH

RIGK - the take-back system for industrial and commercial plastics - announces the takeover of the Bingen-based company.

According to RIGK, the takeover of Hannawald Plastik GmbH, Bingen am Rhein, has now been successfully completed. Hannawald Plastik GmbH is reportedly specialised in the sorting and processing of packaging materials made of PE (polyethylene) and PP (polypropylene), in particular the sorting of commercial films. The company has been a tried-and-tested waste disposal service provider for RIGK for many years, which intends to strengthen its ongoing commitment to the sustainable recycling of plastics and the conservation of resources with this step. Hannawald Plastik GmbH will now be jointly managed by Harald Sauer, who has been a member of Hannawald's management team since 2012, and Jan Bauer, Managing Director of RIGK. "Hannawald's in-depth expertise and many years of experience in sorting and refining packaging materials will enable us to further improve the quality of the raw materials taken back and recycled by RIGK and the resulting recyclates for new plastic products," explains Bauer. The partnership enabled the customised production of recyclates, which could be tailored to the specific requirements of the end products in the early stages of collecting, sorting and refining the plastic products. According to Bauer, this contributes to a more efficient and high-quality recycling process overall.
