Sven Weihe, who has led the pro-K industrial association on an interim basis since the death of Ralf Olsen, has now been appointed as the new Managing Director.

Sven Weihe (49) has been the new Managing Director of the pro-K Industrieverband langlebige Kunststoffprodukte und Mehrwegsysteme e.V. in Frankfurt since 1 January 2024. The pro-K Executive Board had already appointed Weihe as interim Managing Director following the sudden death of long-standing Managing Director Ralf Olsen. The position was confirmed at the beginning of the year. "Sven Weihe is a valued personality within the plastics industry and is a very good fit for us, both professionally and personally. In his six months as temporary Managing Director of pro-K, he has earned the full trust of the Executive Board. Accordingly, we are looking forward to continuing to tackle the economic and operational challenges of the member companies together with him," says Klaus-Uwe Reiß, Chairman of the Board of pro-K. The new Managing Director's main concerns are the reorganisation of central association activities with a view to public image and impact, as well as advocating a regulatory environment that preserves the industry's competitiveness.
