Hackl, CEO of Erema Group, received the "Plastics Recycling Ambassador of the Year" award.

 

On May 11, Hackl was honored with the "Plastics Recycling Ambassador of the Year" award at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRSE), which took place May 10-11 in Amsterdam. The award goes to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to plastics recycling. Not only in his current role as CEO of Erema Group, but also in various functions in national and international associations, he would drive the issue of plastics recycling and circular economy regionally and Europe-wide throughout the industry, seeking and forcing the cooperation of all players in the industry. "I dedicate the award as 'Recycling Ambassador of the Year' to the employees of the Erema Group. We are celebrating our 40th anniversary this year and this award, just like all the others we have received in recent years for our technologies, are proof that we can be very proud of what we have achieved and accomplished together during this time," says Hackl, delighted with the award. Hackl has worked for Erema since 1995 and, before joining the management team, was responsible for the product development and market launch of the Vacurema technology. According to the manufacturer, the system has made it possible to close the loop in the bottle-to-bottle segment in an economically and technologically sensible way. In the past 2022/23 fiscal year, the extruders delivered by Erema would have enabled an additional recycling capacity of 1.6 million tons of regranulate, according to the company.
