Lindner establishes subsidiary in India

The Austrian recycling specialist continues to expand and founds Lindner Recyclingtech Bharat LLP with headquarters in Delhi.
The Indian subsidiary will develop sustainable recycling solutions for the waste and plastics industry together with Chirag Verma, co-owner of Lindner Bharat, and Ganesh Karankal, Sales Manager Plastics Recycling, according to Lindner. India's population of 1.4 billion people is said to produce around 62 million tons of waste every year, and the trend is rising. According to the partners, the recycling rate, which varies depending on the type of waste and the region, still offers a lot of potential for development. In order to return more recyclable materials to the cycle, the right shredders and system solutions as well as the corresponding expertise are needed. With its mobile, semi-mobile and stationary shredders, Lindner offers solutions for the recycling of plastics as well as for the processing of substitute fuels. Co-owner Chirag Verma says of the partnership: "India is a densely populated country with a large volume of waste. It is estimated that the mountain of waste will rise to over 400 million tons by 2050. So there is a lot to do when it comes to recycling. Together with Lindner, we want to support the waste and recycling industry in India in its efforts and we are looking forward to this task.“
