The program of the special show in Hall 6 focuses on achieving a climate-neutral plastics industry.
The international plastics trade fair K 2022 will showcase innovations and trends in the plastics and rubber industry from October 19 to 26 at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center under the main themes of "Circular Economy, Digitalization and Climate Protection." The special show "Plastics shape the future" in Hall 6 will demonstrate how crucial plastics are for a sustainable future. A project of the German plastics industry under the leadership of PlasticsEurope Deutschland and Messe Düsseldorf, the special show promises insights and outlooks for exhibitors and trade visitors at K 2022 as well as the interested public. According to the organizers, "Plastics shape the future" will comprise seven theme days with discussions on innovative technologies, keynote speeches, the presentation of lighthouse projects and live experiments. Economic, ecological and socio-political aspects are to be addressed in the show and solutions to problems facing the plastics industry are to be highlighted. The program will be held in English. The lectures and discussion will begin at 10:30 a.m. each day. From Wednesday to Tuesday, an experimental show on plastics is scheduled at 1:30 or 2:00 p.m. and at 4:00 or 4:30 p.m., respectively.

Wednesday, October 19: Day of departure - The great transformation? An industry becoming climate neutral
Thursday, October 20: Resilience of the industry - which technologies will make the circular economy work?
Friday, October 21: Circular plastics and net zero by 2050: Blah, blah, blah?
Saturday, October 22: Digitization - strengthening digital tools to accelarate the circular economy
Sunday, October 23: Plastics for climate protection - plastics as climate savers?
Monday, October 24: Raw materials and cycles: what will the future be made of?
Tuesday, October 25: Reality check: Global crises - curse or blessing for an industry in transition
