Fakuma 2024 will soon be opening its doors

The trade fair for industrial plastics processing will take place in Friedrichshafen from October 15 to 19, 2024.

According to the organizer P. E. Schall, Fakuma offers a comprehensive overview of all plastics technologies. One of the main topics this year is efficiency, it is said. This not only includes even greater material and energy efficiency, but also process efficiency and the efficient operation of production systems. According to the organizer, the event will also focus on the establishment of closed material cycles, product optimization for recycling, and the processing of recyclates for high-quality applications. The topics of digitalization, automation, flexibility and sustainability will also be in focus. Current issues and forward-looking questions regarding sustainable practical solutions are to be presented, discussed and further developed live at Fakuma 2024. More than 1,600 exhibitors from 39 countries are expected. According to the information provided, all twelve exhibition halls as well as additional space in the East and West foyers and the East Connector, where the Startup Area is located, are occupied. Prof. Michael Braungart, one of the originators of the Cradle to Cradle design concept, has announced his attendance at the opening press conference and the Fakuma 2024 round table. He is to participate in the discussion round concerning the topic of “Digitization – Hit or Miss? Which Tools Really Help the Plastics Industry”. The panel will discuss the extent to which digitalization has progressed in the industry and which potentials remain untapped. “In many respects, Fakuma 2024 will provide important and positive impetus for promoting thinking and action in functioning cycles,” says Bettina Schall, managing director of the event organizer P. E. Schall.
