The Association of Manufacturers of Plastic Window Profile Systems (EPPA) has joined the GKV as an additional carrier association.
 

This was announced by the Gesamtverband der Kunststoffverarbeitenden Industrie e. V. (GKV) and EPPA Deutschland e. V. on the sidelines of the EPPA General Assembly, which took place on 14 and 15 May 2025 in Potsdam. EPPA Germany e. V. emerged in 2023 from the Quality Association for Plastic Products (QKE e. V.), which was founded in 1963. The association's task was to form quality associations that demonstrate the durability and longevity of plastic products by means of RAL quality assurance and bear the RAL quality mark. In addition to areas of application such as packaging, durable plastic products, reusable systems, fibre-reinforced plastics, polyurethanes and foam plastics, whose industry organisations are already members of the GKV, another branch of the plastics processing industry is now represented in the GKV. "We welcome EPPA Germany to the GKV. Plastic windows are a good example of successful and sustainable plastic products that have been excellently established on the market for decades. With the accession of EPPA Germany, the GKV will be further strengthened as a mouthpiece and industry representative for the plastics processing industry,‘ says Dr Helen Fürst, President of the GKV. ’EPPA Germany understands its role as a link between politics, business and society. Complex tasks are easier to solve in a network: through its membership in the GKV, EPPA Germany now has another excellent platform for bundling cross-cutting issues, coordinating with politicians and other associations, and thus arriving at good solutions in the interests of our industry," says Patrick Seitz, Chairman of EPPA Germany.
