Ute Spring will take over as President of Dow Germany, Austria and Switzerland (D/A/CH) from April.
 

At the same time, she will become Chair of the management of Dow in Germany. Ms. Spring succeeds Julia S. Schlenz, who took over overall responsibility for Dow's business in this region at the beginning of the year as President EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa and India). Ms. Spring has almost three decades of experience in the industry, including more than 22 years with the Dow chemical company in various countries and business units. Most recently, she was EMEAI Director of Development and Engineering for the company's Plastics business unit at its headquarters in Wiesbaden. Ms. Spring began her career at Dow in 2003 at the Schkopau site in Germany in the Engineering Solutions division. She holds a Master of Science in Chemical Process Engineering from the Martin Luther University Halle/Wittenberg. She completed the Executive Management Program at INSEAD (Institut Européen d'Administration des Affaires).
 
Ms. Spring also represents Dow on the governing bodies of various organizations and associations. She is a member of the supervisory board of PlasticsEurope Deutschland, represents Dow in the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) and will represent Dow on the Trade Policy Committee of the German Chemical Industry Association Verband der Chemischen Industrie (VCI) in the future.
