From 7 to 13 May 2026, Düsseldorf will once again become the global hub for the packaging industry.

Held every three years, the event is regarded as the leading international trade fair for the packaging industry and related process industries. The exhibition covers the entire value chain: from the manufacture and finishing of packaging goods and materials, through packaging design, to transport and logistics solutions. The trade fair caters to various sectors, including food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, as well as industrial and consumer goods. According to the organiser, around 2,800 exhibitors from all over the world will present their latest developments in Düsseldorf.

The thematic focus of interpack 2026 is the transformation of the industry, with key themes including the circular economy, resource management, digital technologies and product safety. Running parallel to interpack is the “components” trade fair, which specialises in components and accessories for packaging and process technology.

“interpack 2026 is more important than ever,” explains interpack Director Thomas Dohse. “Especially in a challenging market environment, the industry needs a place for exchange and guidance. The priority now is to see and compare concrete solutions and to prepare well-founded investment decisions.“

According to the organisers, the trade fair will be accompanied by numerous special events. For example, at the interpack Spotlight Forum (North Entrance), experts will discuss current developments and strategic issues facing the industry. The Start-up Zone is designed to offer a platform for young companies. On 11 May, “Women in Packaging” will focus on the role of women in the industry. According to the programme, 13 May will be entirely dedicated to the next generation of industry talent: “Young Talents Day” is specifically aimed at apprentices, students and young professionals looking to find out about career paths in the packaging industry. Young Talents Day is free of charge for this target group. The organiser also highlights the presentation of the WorldStar Global Packaging Awards at the exhibition centre as a special highlight.
