Alpla Opens Two New Plants in Turkey

According to Alpla, the company is investing a total of approximately 30 million euros in expanding its production capacity in Turkey.
 
With these two new plants, the internationally active packaging and recycling company is expanding its Turkish production network to five locations and significantly increasing its nationwide capacity in one of its most important markets within the Africa, Middle East & Türkiye region, according to a press release. In addition to İzmir and Adana, Alpla also operates plants in Kocaeli, Ankara, and Konya. According to the information provided, Alpla has been active in Turkey since 1992, where approximately one-third of the company’s capacity and business activities are based. According to Alpla, the İzmir site covers an area of approximately 50,000 square meters and serves as a production platform for PET preforms, closures, and bottles made of HDPE and PET. The plant in Adana covers an area of approximately 20,000 square meters, and the focus there is on the production of PET preforms as well as packaging solutions made of HDPE and PP. The sites are intended to supply customers in the food, dairy, and beverage industries, as well as manufacturers of household and personal care products. According to Alpla, the investment aims to significantly shorten delivery routes, maximize local proximity to customers, and ensure a high level of supply reliability.
